Hi, I am Clare Curran and I am the face behind Let Me Doodle That For You

About Me
As a designer and illustrator, I've been drawing for as long as I can recall. I launched my stall in June 2023 following a significant life transition, allowing me to express my passion for nature, architecture, and botanical themes—particularly trees! Their intricate forms, textures, and ever-changing beauty inspire me endlessly. Researching them is both informative and meditative, feeding my creativity while grounding me in nature. Whether through hand-drawn illustrations, unique prints, or commissioned pieces, I aim to capture the magic of the world around us and share that sense of wonder with others.
How my business came to be
When my life circumstances changed, I turned to my art as a grounding force. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a thriving passion project, allowing me to connect with a wonderful community of art lovers and fellow makers. Setting up a stall was a way to not only share my work but also connect with people who love the same things I do — trees, nature, and thoughtful design.

My passion for storytelling also led me to write and illustrate ‘The bird afraid to fly’, a book inspired by life changes and a special trip to Wales. It’s a deeply personal story about courage, transformation, and finding the strength to embrace the unknown. I’m proud to have it stocked at Dead Ink Books, making it more accessible to those who may find meaning in its pages and it is also available on Etsy.

What I love most about the Liverpool small business scene
The camaraderie among stallholders and the creative community is something truly special. Everyone supports each other, and there’s a shared passion for independent businesses and handmade work that makes the scene so vibrant.
Where I want to take my business
I’d love to have more stockists carrying my work and do more workshops, of course, a steady income from what I create. Expanding my reach while keeping the heart of my business — connection, creativity, and nature —at the core is my goal. From crafting elegant UX designs to illustrating organic, intricate details, my work is all about storytelling, connection, and exploration. Whether at markets, bookstores, or workshops; I hope to inspire others to see the beauty in the details and embrace the joy of creativity.
What are my favorite products
Trees are my favorite subject to draw, and my tree -themed prints and stationery are closest to my heart. Researching trees, learning about their symbolism, and capturing their beauty helps my mental health —it’s like meditation through art. I also love creating pieces inspired by architecture, especially places that have character and history.
Beyond illustration, I love sharing my skills through creative workshops. I run mindful drawing sessions at Clever Hands in Liverpool and collaborate with The Art Doctor in Chester, helping others explore creativity as a form of self-expression and relaxation. These workshops bring people together through art, encouraging playfulness, observation, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
Local makers I recommend
There are so many talented makers in Liverpool’s creative scene! The list is too long to include everyone. I am continually inspired by the talented folk I meet at the events and they are simply lovely to be around.
